Opening Seagate Backup Plus Slim 2TB

hi all,

i'd hands on spinpoint m9t 2tb, in seagate backup plus slim line of external hard drives. i've heard reports newer drives in line hard-wired , cannot removed use in laptop. before order 1 , tear apart, thought i'd see if here can confirm or deny rumor.
