Is MacBook placement under a monitor a bad idea?

when @ desk, connect rmbp monitor , run rmbp lid closed. save space, thinking of getting stand raise monitor (actually, it's 32" hdtv) , slide rmbp under it.

bad idea? main concerns wifi performance , heat. chance have pic of setup share? thanks!
