iTunes to USB

i have moved movies ipad itunes account on computer. don’t want store movies though on computer possible save them on usb , when wanting watch them on ipad, plug usb in adapter cord? itunes need downloaded onto usb work?
 

you go "my computer" , search name of video. can copy usb.
