How to increase vRAM for HD3000 graphics


terminal command increase vram hd3000 graphics (mac mini 2011 or macbook pro 2011)

*mb - amount of vram have. can find in system profiler.

256mb 384mb
from 256mb 512mb
from 384mb 1gb
from 384mb 512mb
from 512mb 1gb
(thanks user grama following tutorial!)
when done above, edit info.plist @ appleintelhd3000graphics.kext/c*
have add after vramoverrride vramsize key, this:
<key>vramoverride</key>
<integer>0</integer>
<key>vramsize</key>
<integer>1024</integer>

add these last 2 lines (vramsize integer value should match value picked edit first kext, save , patch , fix extensions kext utility , go!
 

thanks post. have wondered before if changing memory allocation possible :)

these commands work intel hd graphics 4000?

also, have tried allocating 2 gb of memory integrated graphics card (using "80" instead of "40" in command)?

finally, did run benchmarks , did experience unwanted side effects (e.g. reduced os stability or increased heat or noise)?
