Apple Store White City - London (UK) Horror Story

on september 3rd, took phone 5 (eligible sleep/wake button replacement program) apple store in white city after booking appointment day. phone handed in, inspected , genius bar work authorisation receipt sent email; emploee took in phone suggested ready within 7-10 days , notified phone , email apple id registered address.

10 business days passed , did not have update, on monday september 15th, called store check on status of repair. said phone ready , on 9th , individual name came store , received phone... , horror story begun!

immediatly explained situation (i never received phone calls store nor emails confirming completion of repair) , asked them id of person walked in store , stole phone. time of writing, have never received straight answer on that. asked them how come have not received confirmation email regarding both completion of repair , pick recept. response "we send email address indicated person picked up" (!!!if not plain stupidity, let alone major security hole, is?!?). line manager of store ensured me investigate matter , me within 24 hours.

not phone call never happened, communication store horrible , inefficient experience, had explain situation on , on again different personnel answering telephone. after million phone calls, london metropolitan police department crime report , several hours of communication senior , supervisor of apple customer relations emea, ensured -verbally- replacement. indeed, 7 days after fact, contacted apple store , notified replacement phone.

solicitor suggests that, case of both identity fraud , physical theft caused incompetency of apple store employees, should not accept replacement phone , aim further compensation agreement. however, want on , never set foot in apple store in white city again!
