Preventing Automatic Update

hello all,

got refurbished ipod touch 5 replaced new ipd touch 5. woman @ apple store said new had been in fora long time. ipod came ios 6.1.3 on it. had forgotten how great ios 6 looked compared ios 7. how prevent ipod updating ios 7? when go software update page in "settings" tells me ipod downloading ios 7.1.2. want stay on 6.1.3. please advise.
 

you block apple update servers router.

since seems device downloaded software update, you'll lose 1gb of disk space. way know recover space jailbreaking , deleting update files. way disable ota updates completely.
