Hard drive has completely gone - has no paritition or volumes to install OS X too

hi all

in desperate need of help. running 2010 mbp 13-inch 250gb. accidentally let harddrive full , resulted in not being able boot (grey screen, spinning cog etc). had before knew boot safe mode , delete files etc time wouldn't let me boot safe mode.

ran through single user mode, fsck fine. macintosh hd working normally. disk utility verified disk , said fine well. not sure happened partiton/volume changed 'macintosh hd disk0s2' , not able mounted show when push power button+option.

able delete disk0s2 partition in hopes of creating new partion via internet recovery mode (might add system boots holding cmd+r), otherwise flashing folder. unable create new partition , therefore mac has become dead. have heaps of data on hd more gone laptop working appreciated .

my first reaction hard drive failure.

try using apple hardware test confirm before go out , buy new hdd.
