Will my internet run faster if I have both ethernet plugged in + WIFI on? (Time Caps)

hey guys! i'm operating macbook pro apple time capsule router. have 2 positioned right next each other. have time capsule plugged macbook pro via ethernet, wondering if should keep wifi (on macbook pro) enabled? wasn't sure if osx favored 1 or other when comes ethernet vs. wifi, , wanted make sure didn't connect websites via wifi-only, if there ethernet available, , vice versa.

if have apple time capsule plugged macbook pro via ethernet, more wise keep wifi enabled on macbook pro well? there sort of "synergistic" effects (aka.. more speed) having both of them enabled? thanks!
