2010 mini OS?

am still running snow leopard. seems sluggish older processor causing it. worth upgrading newer version of osx? since have dvd drive, updated os still recognize without issues?
 

snow still fastest osx, not problem.
99% chance, 5400rpm hard drive trouble maker.
replace speedier: wd black 7200rpm if need lots of storage , budget limited, samsung 840 evo or if want fastest.
make sure have 4-8gb ram.
