Macbook Air 2014 Newbie Question

i have question macbook air. bought open box 13.3 base model best buy school , got great deal 801 after tax. far loving machine bought school , main computer.

question is, normal macbook air take little while wake sleep? have noticed if try wake right after falls asleep takes longer wake up. of normal behavior?
 

i'm sure more technically minded people able comment on this, i've noticed slow-down on waking sleep since installing mavericks osx. not significant (in reality, it's less second) air used immediate - @ least perception.

takes bit longer connect wifi - again, recall things being faster.

in greater scheme of things, it's not keeps me awake @ night. :)
