Should I worry about SMART status of drive Temps.

so, of drives less 2 years old decided check smart status using techtools pro , few others. passed, have seagate 1tb drive that's less year old, , the "internal temperature changes" graph half-way scale , drive reports low "seek error rate" & "raw read error rate".

other drives have barley moved off of ø mark, , have ø in other areas. have 2 old 250gb hitachi drives have zeros way through except show high count on hours used (1/2 way through life expectancy).

should worry replacing barracuda drive soon.

opinions...

i have barracuda drive. did not indicate if internal in sled or external in enclosure. use mine externally in enclosure cooling fan.

have attached current report run during backup reference. unless temperatures high, not concerned. if not seeing errors on drive.

if still concerned, use drive in enclosure cooling fan.
