Moving from PC to MAC - need advice

hello all,

i've decided migrate pc mac , looking advice on new imac. genius bar not of help, pretty agreed i've said , shook heads so, figured i'll give forum shot hopes of getting real feedback actual users.

have been doing web design , illustration past few years. use adobe creative cloud regularly , need machine last quite sometime , quick opening applications dreamweaver, illustrator, etc. doing video editing well, using final cut pro, however, these videos personal / family videos.

i'm looking @ getting: imac 21.5", intel i7 3.1ghz, 16gb ram, 1tb fusion drive. maxing out machine since challenging upgrade down road.

know, if should downgrade system bit? don't know processors or memory performance on mac. since i'm moving pc mac, whatever got used in terms of hardware on pc different on mac - in regards performance.

getting fusion drive no matter what, however, going down on memory 8gb , going intel i5 2.9ghz processor slow system down considerably?

also, in regards graphics card. on board intel iris graphics card sufficient type of work doing or see difference upgrading nvidia? not gaming!

if that's you're using , want last while suggest sticking i7 8gb of ram fine tho sure want 8 gb cause can't upgrade later

, if want faster mac ssd drive saying.
