upgrade ram?

i have 2011 macbook pro 2.3 i5, 4g of ram. running 10.9.3

few days, ive been getting beach ball lot. can type , stalls or can click on , spins lot. ive been researching , thought maybe memory needs upgrading. according activity monitor, im using 3.99 of 4g of memory.

no idea if thats may causing it. heres screen shot

the memory pressure high in green. still ample, see benefit going 8 gb. biggest upgrade ssd though...
