All mouses stopped working

about 2 weeks ago macbook stopped recognizing mouse has worked computer. tried using mouse on computer , worked. tried using other mouses worked on other computers , didnt work on mine (the computer wasnt recognizing them @ all). true of usb ports. computer stopped recognizing iphone when plugged in the usb ports. still recognizes flash drives ports still working. know how solve problem?
