Scrubbing through music from lockscreen or Control Center is erratic??

this isn't 6/6+ issue same thing happened on 5. when try scrub through music using music controls either on lockscreen or control center, scrubbing never smooth. erratic , jumps on place. it's impossible skip ahead or behind few seconds, jump around everywhere. else experience this? there way make better?
 

i think tap , drag approach imprecise on small touch device, when recording long. i'd rather have buttons on screen hold down.
