Prepaid 3G / 4G internet in USA

i'm wondering best / cheapest prepaid solution around 5gb of 3g / 4g internet ipad air week in california (in december).

can go store @ airport, buy nano sim card , place in ipad?

in europe (ex. in austria 10gb starter 10 euro).
 

if go apple page under ipad (bottom of page), pricing on data plans.

provider can use depends on ipad bought.

verizon ipad: verizon, at&t, t-mobile
sprint ipad: sprint, at&t, t-mobile
at&t ipad: at&t, t-mobile
t-mobile ipad: t-mobile, at&t
