gmail issues with new macbook pro......

i have had 13" macbook pro retina display little more 2 months now. have had call apple support mail 3 times various problems. 2 of calls "trash"---while writing emails, saving them drafts, but, showing in trash. email showed in trash 71 times. day or 2 later email writing showed 41 times. second time called apple support issue, told me apple aware of gmail problems , working on getting fixed.

last time called mail , "force quit". there have been few times wouldn't let me shut down , continued tell me force quit , try again. well, force quit not highlighted when clicked on apple logo in upper left hand of screen. support had me trying other options 'force quit' mail.

anyway, first mac. actually, have been using home computer 2 years now. used old xp laptop @ home. loving mac , retina screen! but, mail thing rather frustrating.
