What happened to new txt app?

-

loving handoff in ios8 far, think update lays ground work cool stuff down pike when developers start adding programs use features.

wasn't there rumor mac programs getting ported os8. thinking 1 text editor app. not sure if didn't work out or waiting mac software come out.
 

why need text edit when pages free (and comes pre-installed on 64+gb phones)? wondering.
