Dumb question but if an iPod touch is $250...why is an iPhone $650?

i understand ipod touch has older generation series chip, fundamentally ipod touch , iphone same aluminum build retina touch screen display. yes iphone has more premium materials, , lte chip, warrant $400 increase in price? wouldn't $150 increase more reasonable iphone costs $400 total , not $650?

isn't limited iphones, smartphones same crazy prices. charge because can? similar $5 hot dog @ baseball game when can them $1 anywhere else?

don't understand how these phones cost same macbook air?
