i came windows background 4 years ago , set first mac large folder structure manage files.
time has gone on have continued add files , folders today find myself complex structure means i'm unlikely consistent when assigning file particular folder.
have been looking @ coloured tags , wonder whether can simplify structures simply; photos; documents etc. , tag 1 or more tags facilitate future searches.
wonder other users do? reasonable simplify above? advantages , disadvantages? if store files on icloud or in dropbox, tags still function?
thoughts welcomed.
your files end in couple basic locations, i.e., ~/documents , ~/pictures
use onedrive store documents have access them on iphone , ipad (i run ms office).
you, on works best work flow. have basic folders on onedrive, i.e., spreadsheets, documents, pdfs, etc. nothing intricate
