last month, reported apple in talks health insurers healthkit tools officially launched public ios 8 earlier month. report suggested apple may have been looking partner insurers on programs reward users maintaining healthy lifestyles , reaching fitness goals tracked healthkit.

1 of insurers mentioned in report humana, today officially announced integration between humanavitality rewards program , healthkit. under program, members can receive wellness points redeemable variety of rewards including fitness equipment, electronics, , movie tickets.

recent updates humanavitality app have added healthkit support pull in data wearable devices , apple's own fitness-oriented tracking features, making easy users document progress.
