I have already given up on Continuity

myabe more expertise me kindly me continuity.

macbook running yosemite public beta 3
iphone 5 running ios 8.0

imessages, facetime, apple id , icloud accounts same across devices.

option iphone cellular calls checked in both ios , yosemite.
i'm using same wi-fi network.

settings facetime , message identical in both devices: same phone number , e-mail addresses.

mac not supported handoff. handoff set off on iphone.

can send , recieve imessages between iphone , mac, in synch. no problem here.

can start call mac. unable receive notifications incoming calls/imessages on macbook.

have signed out & in accounts, , network setting have been reset. pram , smc have been reset.

still no luck.

sorry dumb question, but in order receive these notifications, have have facetime , messages running time?

have allowed facetime calls , messages on notification center: banners, sounds, etc.

doing wrong?

which model , year mac have? believe has support bluetooth le in order continuity work.

had first phone call on mac little while ago. startled me when mac started ringing.

didn't in 10.10 or ios set - worked (no pun intended).
