Recovering iTunes Library

itunes crashed , received error message "itunes library.itl" file damaged, marked such, , replaced. have no recent time machine backup (foolish, yes) , surprised find no previous library files. there 2 .tmp files, 44mb 1 previous day, , 11mb 1 time of crash. tried marking , importing 1 , other new "itunes library.itl" file. after several errors, both imported of library (which comes 2 different folders), both finished errors, , don't know how determine files missing. playlists gone.

there more can try reimport whole library these files. if had rebuild library scratch, there anywhere else playlist data stored?

help.
