Can't remove unnecessary data from the iTunes_Control/Music folder.

like many others, have had large other section on device (2.86 gb) , seems entirely consist of data itunes_control/music folder, when remove using iexplorer, other usage section disappears - freeing valuable space. when this, however, music on iphone becomes corrupted, , resyncing not anything, instead forced manually go through each song , make device realize songs aren't there, once have gone through each song , resync, music resyncs onto phone - this, however, leads recreation of other usage section. there away remove itunes_control/music section of phone , reclaim valuable storage space whilst retaining music???
