Living with 1GB and 2GB

so today lent iphone5s friend because thinking snatching 1 once 6 comes out.
after hour or so, returned laughing resounding no. stated couldn't live 1gb ram device.
taken told him didn't need more; showed me why did.
has samsung s5 has 2gbs , simulated jaw dropping differences between 1gb ram device , 2gb device.
first showed how samsung able retain browser data , information on google chrome without application reloading when application went standby mode or switched other many applications.
in addition opened book manager , swapped between chrome , reading pdf file , fast; multitasking?
asked me same; opened safari, swapped ibook, safari.
safari had reload website on, ibook took few seconds book , page reading load.
said iphone 6 no different. made me sad.

iphone 6 more powerful right?
 

a lot of people disappointed 1gb of ram, apple optimizes enough there aren't many issues.
