iPhone 4: not charging/DFU mode

my iphone 4 not charging. in dfu mode. started when dropped it, fell 2 inches, came off because didn't have screws in. battery fell out. speaker assembly lost prong or 2 during whole ordeal. re-attached battery have done many times, time, though phone plugged in, battery not charge. otherwise functioned , died when battery ran out.

since then, have purchased , inserted new battery. when plug phone in, in dfu mode, , new battery doesn't seem charge either. doesn't warm, after hours of being plugged in. phone in dfu mode until second phone unplugged power source. when try recover , re-install ios itunes, screen goes black within minute , itunes gives me "2001" error, meanwhile phone begins light , goes dfu mode again. point on, vicious cycle. i've tried different power cords, , different usb jacks on macbook, outcome same.

info i've given, i'm wondering diagnosis is. i'm wondering possibilities left, , issues can ruled out. 1 more thing add home button has not worked what-so-ever, years. i've used assisted touch time. sharing info , knowledge friends!
