Text Edit File Vanished Completely

hello!
morning working on textedit document i've worked on years , saved every time work on it.

today when saved it, funny thing happened computer , finder/desktop froze ended having restart computer.

file found. it's disappeared "open recent" drop down. of other files there except one.

there way recover file?? don't understand how disappeared. i've done searches , found few other people encountered problem no solution yet...
