iMessage not working on 6+

i don't know if bug or phone imessage isn't working though turned on. i've tried turning off , on, , logging in , out. else having problem? i'm not sure if phone or ios 8.
 

i'm having issues imessage. got new 6 , doesn't receive messages. imessage activated, , can send messages phone number, doesn't ever receive anything. ipad , mac, however, work fine.

i've tried signing out of imessage multiple times, , nothing. figure out yet?
