reinstall Mavericks says "disc locked"?

i'm trying reinstall mavericks in osx utility, (when click on "install") msg says can't install because disc locked. pretty cryptic, doesn't disc. meen , do now. think os corrupted want repair it.

did maybe have filevault encryption turned on? in disk util believe in file menu unlock selection.
