Weird thing happened when I deleted data...

so kind of went on cleaning spree. deleted yosemite 5gb along many many pictures tallied 8gb. before deleting of had 104gb left on computer. after deleting have 108gb left. i'm not sure why happened... have ideas?

attached files:

the files aren't removed , space made available until after time machines local snapshots removed.
expect has happened, can see amount of space being used backups in screenshot.

there daily snapshots , 1 weeks snapshot, after files removed. setup can recover recent files deleted (or modified) if don't have time machine drive attached. additionally if run low on space snapshots automatically removed free space.

if must clear local backups, disabling , reenabling time machine should it.

can read more local snapshots here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4878
