iPhone 5s "futureproof"

i don't understand why many people upgrading 5s.

iphone 5s called future proof last year because of 64bit architecture, looks many people jumping on 6 bandwagon.

understand (kind of) because upgraded screen size. think screens getting big , i'm waiting movement small screens again. feel whiners have won now.

else feel 5s fine , feel no pressure upgrade?
 

will apple pay since has finger print scanner? if not, upgrade alone. i'm more excited apple pay else.
