Bose Soundlink Mini for "near field" use on desk? Thoughts?

hey everybody,

since old 2.0 speaker system broke in market replacement. considering have hifi system "serious" listening thought might bluetooth speaker add portability factor , able take mba.

far favoring bose sound link mini ii i'm not quite sure if intended use.. place right under screen on foot , connect via bluetooth/line in, not far away me..

can owns sound link give advice how qualities on low medium levels in near field? went electronic store busy/noisy there real impression..

maybe there out there uses sound link way plan , can give impressions =)

i have piece of speaker , while produces quite sound size , price, quite centred sound, not stereo experience.

have used speaker 1 month while on road 12.000 km rental mini van did provide cd player , radio , no capabilities other input.
@ 200 kmph produced sound listened , not low on volume.

desktop speaker not good, used when playing in windows , using speaker play music ipod.

if want bose, maybe @ companion series, have had companion 2 ii speakers , have companion 20 speakers, both produce quite stereo sound not audiophile ears.
