iTunes Deleting Podcasts

so, new thing itunes seems deleting podcasts have played don't want delete. have set default settings off delete episodes played still doing so. doing wrong?

or perhaps i'm not familiar new software. podcasts disappear in episodes aren't showing in trash.
 

i assuming playing podcasts device , podcast being deleted device. correct?

have checked itunes see if deleted there also?

check "feed" button in podcast app on device. should show podcast. ones have deleted device.
