looking either ~256gb or ~500gb ssd


there better (faster read/write ssds) these?

have 2011 mcp. 2.7cpu, 8gb ram. assume sata drive can handle sata iii?
 

yes, mbp supports sata iii ssd work fine.

here speed comparison of 2 drives mentioned , pretty close. honestly, unless using testing software, not going able tell difference between drive can buy today.

newer drive priced competitively crucial mx100. take @ reviewers remarks @ end of this article.
