What is the best way to copy files off a failed system partition?

so i'm copy files off system partition, , i'm afraid i'll have problems permissions.

bit of background - os x won't boot (looping progress bar) , recovery disk utility says can't repair it. files viewable in macdrive on boot camp partition (which i'm using, don't think disk has failed, wrong particular partition).

plan remove drive , mount on mac , see can copy.

thing i've recall having bad experiences doing things in past - i'm afraid there permission issues somewhere down road when try use these copied files.

ideally i'd copy files, , apply them "default" permissions working mac, if files had been created working mac, , not failed mac.

don't want access files , not able to/having authenticate because "belong" user (i.e. account on old mac).

tl;dr there way copy user account's (mine) files system drive, without running permissions problems down road? maybe stripping files of user account-related permissions?

you fine. users folders contain permissions concerned about. files read/write normally.

copy on whatever files need account , should good.
