Airport Extreme roaming network & cabling

i have airport extreme (3rd gen) mac mini , pc hard-wired has been working great past 5 years. in past year or two, there has been ton of wireless devices added household: 4 iphones, 3 ipads, 2 laptops, , kindle.

problem is, live in hong kong in apartment thick concrete walls. when mba outside of room ae is, move laptop couple of inches , wifi connection goes perfect dead. figure i'd ae create roaming network fix this.

question is, there noticeable difference in connection speed of wired devices between connecting them primary ae (the 1 that's connected modem) versus connecting them secondary ae (the 1 that's connected first ae) ??

also, matter kind of cable (cat5/5e/6/6a) use connect 2 aes together? broadband is advertised 1000mb...

you shouldn't notice difference if both routers gigabit there should little no degradation.

go 5e or 6. don't know cost difference in hk

have gigabit internet connection??
