24-Inch (Early 2008) Not booting to cd or hd

i have been trying mac boot days now.:mad: when power on apple logo comes loading gear spinning. stops spinning , doesn't go anywhere. have try boot techtools no success. tested hd externally showing 4 bad sectors. thought hd reason. put in samsung 500gb ssd. tried boot cd reinstall os same result. :eek: don't know go here. ideas helpful thanks!

i'm in similar boat, thing i've been able onto single user mode , run fsck - f, happy, replaced hd anyways sure. removed superdrive remove equation.

have checked battery, done resets etc.

difference booting cd hd how long takes point wheel stops spinning. oh , cd grey screen swipe tells me reboot, hd freezes.

sorry it's not if anywhere i'll post again.
