imac winderz time capsule netwoork?

i have mid-2011 12,1 imac, mavericks , 2nd gen time capsule use exclusively via ethernet cable. wifi on tc off nursing home live in claims interfering wifi network. wasn't worth arguing - turned tc wifi off. have several other non apple items have /talking' imac through ethernet. can setup small network using imac, time capsule attach 1 or 2 laptops via ethernet cable(s) without additional hardware except ethernet cable? networking confuses me!

newer flavor of airport utility confusing @ best , recall not use older version.

can set wired network using hardware , how? envision plugging laptop via cable running ubuntu and/or winders 7. winderz laptops both dual boot win ubuntu , 3rd laptop ubuntu only. laptops not need full time connections. no wifi access wanted. btw have tried dual boot imac ubuntu without success.

advice/pointers please?

if imac connected via ethernet tc , working, thing need connect other computers tc ethernet ports , done. (i assume tc connected internet)

tools let see wifi channels used other wifi. can set tc use wifi channels unused and/or far away wifi want not disturb.
once setup wifi can hide under airport utility/wireless/wirelessoptions - create hidden network.
