Partitioning MBPr 256 flash concerns D

hey have 2013 mbpr 256gb flash storage use traktor (dj program) , little school work. issue have music way unorganized , have kinds of files on place. know isn't problem osx it's driving insane.

want copy of music eternal hdd , organize there. copy back.

in meanwhile though want reload osx time want partition drive 2 halfs. since tend have school files on place , i'm lazy keep them organized... i'll reload os when gets bad :p

if have partitioned wont lose music/software , of work put organizing sets (cue points, metadata, playlists etc)

there need concerned setting drive way?

know how space osx needs itself? figured i'd give 100gb osx , rest trakor , music though music collection 40gbs.

suggestions?


have machine backed time machine on wd drive atm can go if don't or if traktor doesn't work way.

have experience running traktor way?
