HDMI Audio Output Not Working in OS X

hi,

joined forum see if issue i've been having while. i'm unable audio output through hdmi on mac pro 5,1. doesn't appear option in sound panel in system preferences, nor hdmi appear under audio tab in system report.

i'm told means mac pro cannot output audio through hdmi, works fine when bootcamp windows.

hdmi comes out of nvidia geforce gtx 680 , drivers date.

if help, i'd appreciate it!
