How good is display zoom mode?

been reading non optimised apps looking poor on new iphones due upscaling , i'm wondering, display zoom mode poor , blurry or apps ok?

left iphone few years have vision problem , text size small. bigger screen appealing me if it's possible have larger text. has clear!
 

they looked fine me; went regular mode, because wanted more info on screen.
