Korean Government Orders Apple and Google to Change 'No-Refund' App Store Policies

apple , google have been ordered south korea's fair trade commission revise "no-refund" app store policies in addition number of other provisions, reports the korea herald. in response ruling, apple reportedly stated consider applying revised app store policy worldwide, korean officials requiring apple send notice users when terms , conditions have changed.
in 2011, taiwanese government pressured apple , google modify app store policies, apple enabling 7-day refund period. however, unclear @ time changes made apple in order comply law, company may have addressed granting refunds upon request.

under current policy, apple not offer automatic way refunds apps. however, refunds have been made available on case case basis, users able "report problem" on purchases go through itunes support. in may, apple began preventing updates , reinstallation of refunded app store apps, extended mac app store.
