Yosemite OS X - after reboot, installion stops after few seconds..

i can't install yosemite on 500gb wd external drive. download went fine, no problems code delivered apple, launching "install yosemite" launchpad, no problems, macbook restarts, installion continues after few seconds, screen pops "install yosemite" , can't anything.

clue? running mavericks 10.9.4 no problem.
