Do the new iWork apps need iWork 09 support files?

when new iwork applications (keynote, numbers, pages) mac downloaded, old iwork 09 folder remains in /applications. if iwork 09 not needed, latter folder can deleted. various support materials iwork 09 installs, in /library/application support , elsewhere? know if new iwork apps use materials, or can deleted also?

(btw, when tried post query @ apple discussions, told: "you not allowed create or update content". weird. not asking tips hack mac os x or anything. able post in thread, repeated tries post shortened version of question elicited same prohibition.)

(further btw, i've learned new iwork apps can downloaded app store onto fresh install of 10.9 if iwork 09 folder copied /applications; no need whole installation. of course iwork 09 apps won't run in case, though didn't try, planned delete iwork 09 folder newer apps installed. know new iwork apps "downgrade" previous versions, starting out iwork figure they're enough , better.)
 

that's question. can't certain, guess not. can try deleting them , see if messes up; if does, either restore time machine or reinstall newer versions of iwork apps, should replace files during installation process if need them.
