Moving from fast (70mb) to slow (2mb) broadband with Apple TV 3

so, moving house area slow (2mbps) internet. use apple tv quite lot, our current 70mbps broadband never buffering.

slow internet, how apple tv 3 fair? know has 8gb buffer rather internal storage, if wanted rent hd movie, question of setting "play", pausing , waiting few hours download? there no "download" option, there? in, streamed, slow internet have use buffer , prepared wait? (which, effectively, ties apple tv, can't else unless want interrupt buffer , start on again).

have got right?
 


can download rental itunes , stream apple tv.
