When changing existing service, any difference between doing it at Verizon or BB?

i have iphone 5 old nationwide talk , text plan unlimited data, , ipad mini separate 5gb plan. i'm going buy new individual talk , text plan @ $60/month new line iphone 6, reduce iphone 5 plan bare minimums, cancel separate ipad data plan, , put iphone 5 sim in ipad have unlimited data there (yes, works).

question is, there reason or benefit doing these particular transactions @ verizon store vs best buy? hate verizon stores....long wait, seem have less stock best buy, , have ton of bb gift cards. i'm worried bb screwing existing account unlimited data, if involves changes existing account. or can purchase new line/iphone 6 @ bb, call verizon cs change iphone 5 service , cancel ipad data plan?
