My applications are crashing! (iMac late 2009 21.5in)

i have late 2009 imac 21.5inches. os x version 10.9.3
processor: 3.06 ghz intel core 2 duo
memory: 8gb 1067 mhz ddr3

applications keep crashing randomly, theres lag when switching applications , on internet. :mad:

when trying load lot of pictures, took forever. :mad:

chrome having problems webpages keep crashing! :(

wrong imac!? :confused::confused:

tried , guessing hard drive. should upgrade ssd? best model, , videos out there can newbie @ kind of things?

if it's better else it, know can go in dallas, tx?

this *could* bad ram module. can go bad , cause you're seeing. if lug apple store genius bar can run tests , tell what's ram.

have corrupted files within os itself. if that's case need backup/wipe/reinstall os. or failing hard drive. there utilities can download test hardware , maybe else can recommend they've used. trip genius bar can tell what's in 1 shot.
