~100gb lost drive space?

last night using compressor transcode file. 85% of way through, compressor crashed... , seems have left phantom temporary file 100gb in size somewhere on hard disk.

according own math, , math of several drive-cleaning software packages (disk doctor, omnidrivesweeper, etc.), should have 96.5 gb of used drive space. consistent remember last week. yet os x reports have used 199.61 gb of drive space. meaning somewhere, somehow, there phantom file somewhere 100 gb in size.

so... ideas on how find , remove temporary file? cramping style (and hard disk ;) ).

never mind, disregard.

missing drive space in .mobilebackup folder. apparently os x starts creating time machine backups working, if backup drive no found.

backup drive 500 miles away, no found... apparently os x started preparing temporary compressor file backup. dumb, okay.
