iOS 7 Scren replacement

hi,

got iphone 5c screen replaced dropped , touch sensitivity stopped working. when got phone guy in shop said need update phone ios 8 in order screen work?

normal?? work when update it?

please help!

you not being clear.
said phone's screen got replaced. recognizing touches @ now, screen replaced?
suggestion given bs. hardware defects not fixed through software.
