new 1 has bumpers protect screen , special keys have own buttons , no longer combined number keys (which full sized).
i have newer model holding groove tilts. absolutely love it. paid $99 @ best buy , it's been super. i've had around 2 months , use daily. have charged once since got , still didn't have red recharge light on. still haven't tested how long can last on charge i'm sure super long. types nicely full type keyboard separate function key row @ top. lightweight when compared other keyboards. best of all, it's super easy pick , go when want use ipad without keyboard. 1 other thing isn't bother me autocorrect feature doesn't work keyboard. don't think third party keyboards, that's not issue me. misspelled words still show won't autocorrect.
if had 1 negative, need careful don't tip ipad forward while in groove it can fall out. i've had tip couple of times , more careful. not issue cause me stay away other features perfect me. also, while in groove, magnet strong enough pick both ipad , keyboard hold on ipad. no problems typing either on desk, counter or on lap.
love keyboard. 1 of best purchases i've made besides ipad air.
